Gudju Gudju (Rainbow Serpent) is from the rainforest village of Kuranda, North Queensland Australia. They promote cultural awareness through their soulful blend of roots and reggae music and inspired performances. The use of the Indigenous language in their songs gives a special power to their message as they sing about traditional and contemporary culture. Collectively, they strive to help keep Aboriginal culture alive.
Gudju Gudju have performed at the Ainu Moshiri festival in Hokkaido, Japan, Caring for Country Festival, Cardwell, Yungaburra Festival, Laura Festival, EmpowerFest, EnviroFest, 25th Anniversary of Kuranda Amphitheatre, the Tanks, Cairns, Sea of Hands, and others… and have supported Boney M, Archie Roach, Ash Grunwald, Shane Howard, Joe Geia, Zennith Boyz and others. CDs are available with all original music including ‘Shores of Eden’, ‘Listen Up’ compilation album with ‘One Vibe’ and ‘Bada Nyiwul’.
